Two sheriff's cars hit by suspected drunk driver

    UNION-TRIBUNE BREAKING NEWS TEAM
    8:09 a.m. April 18, 2007

VISTA A large SUV driven by a suspected drunk driver slammed into two sheriff's patrol cars early Wednesday morning, minutes after they had stopped another driver suspected of driving drunk, deputies said.

Neither deputy was hurt, but both their cruisers were heavily damaged, said Vista patrol Sgt. Jeff Maxin.

The two deputies had pulled over the first vehicle on East Vista Way near Foothill Drive when a Chevrolet Suburban crashed into the cruisers, Maxin said.
One deputy was in that car. The other had stepped out from between the two vehicles moments before the Suburban plowed into them, Maxin said.

The 18-year-old driver was taken to a local hospital for examination, then booked into the Vista jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

The driver whom the deputies originally stopped? He was booked on suspicion of DUI as well, the sergeant said.

I would say something about how the guy had to be drunk, but I popped a guy this morning that was stone sober for passing me in the middle of town in a residential no-passing zone. No excuse for stupid.
    And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.

Nope. Should be required to get a license to breed in this world. Gotta get a license for everything else..... You have to even get a permit to cut down a tree you already own that is in your own friggin yard...
