Ahhh Wisconsin, You all can always make me laugh
House for sale: Dead body not included
May 3, 2007
JANESVILLE, Wis. -- A couple checking out a house for sale were shocked to find the homeowner dead in her bed.
Real estate agent Linda Chabucos-Galow was in the dining room while Justin and Colleen McKeen walked through a house when she heard Colleen McKeen scream.
''I thought, 'What's wrong?' Maybe it was a dead mouse or something,'' Chabucos-Galow said.
But then she peered into the room and saw the body of Linda L. O'Leary, 55.
An autopsy determined O'Leary had been dead for two to three weeks, Coroner Jenifer Keach said Wednesday. The cause of death remained under investigation, but the woman appeared to have died of natural causes, Keach said.

Couple finds dead woman's body during Wisconsin home tour
Associated Press
Article Last Updated: 05/02/2007 10:13:49 AM CDT
JANESVILLE - A Wisconsin real estate agent will likely do a house check before bringing in prospective customers after one couple happened upon a homeowner in bed - dead.
Linda Chabucos-Galow, a real estate agent with Shorewest, stood in the dining room while Justin and Colleen McKeen walked through a house Monday night.
Before long, she heard Colleen scream.
"I thought, 'What's wrong?' Maybe it was a dead mouse or something," Chabucos-Galow said.
But then she peered into the bedroom and saw the body of Linda L. O'Leary, 55, the owner of the home. She had been dead for about two weeks, officials said.
"It looked like a Halloween prop," Chabucos-Galow said.
The uncovered body was wearing dark shorts. Chabucos-Galow said O'Leary's legs were wrapped in material that appeared similar to cheesecloth or support hose.
"If we spent five minutes in there, I'd be stretching it," Chabucos-Galow said.
She told the couple: "'We need to leave. This is not right. We need to get out of here."'
Gale Kent, the Coldwell Banker First United Realty agent who listed the house, said the property was for sale "for a while," but wouldn't say how many times it had been shown in recent weeks.
"I don't want to say anything because I haven't talked to the police yet," Kent said.
An autopsy determined O'Leary had been dead for two to three weeks, Rock County Coroner Jenifer Keach said this morning. The cause of death remained under investigation, but O'Leary appeared to have died of natural causes and no foul play was suspected, the coroner said.
Chabucos-Galow said she set up the showing without knowing the homeowner's identity.
After entering the home, she noticed a faint odor but thought it was from the mess in the house or the countertop full of dishes. She saw unopened mail.
"I've smelled death. I know what death smells like," she said. "I can't believe my sinuses were that bad."

I don't think I laughed as hard as I did when I read this in a long time. I know down here when we show houses we make sure it is clean, and that all dead bodies are either in cement or buried in crawl spaces.

eeeeiiiiiwwwwww
that is funny though
sad too that she had no one who cared enough for her to realize she was not aroundhttp://www.allpoetry.com/Grunts%20Girl
We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Hmmmmmmm Wonder if the asking price will be reduced now. Might be able to make a hell of an offer on the house and get it.

Police Officers put themselves at risk for strangers every day. Some do not make it home to their families. Next time you think of saying something negative about the police, remember...YOU are one of the strangers.

Embalmed bodies don't smell much, do they?
This the state which recently made news for...
Both chambers of the Legislature unanimously gave key approval Tuesday to allow grocery and liquor stores to hand out beer samples up to 6 ounces to a person of legal drinking age.
