Cross-Dressing Student Returns To School

A male Eastern Hills High School student who dresses as a female will be returning to class after being suspended for using foul language.

Rodney "Rochelle" Evans had initially claimed that administrators suspended him last week for three days because of his cross-dressing, but now admits that his cursing was the true reason for the disciplinary action.



During a press conference at the Fort Worth School District administration building on Wednesday, Evans that he used profanity after a faculty member asked him to remove his wig.

Flanked by his mother and noted transgender lawyer Phyllis Randolph Frye, the 15-year-old said he had met with the school's principal and did not anticipate any further problems.

Evans said he would be able to return to school dressing as a female and being addressed as a female.

"I'm am highly ecstatic that I'll finally be able to go to school as Rochelle, comfortable as I am. I'm very, very happy and pleased," he said.

Frye said Evans would use the school nurse's restroom.

"I'm glad that she's going to be going to school. I know that there's going to be somebody here and there who's going to give her a little grief. That happens," Frye said.

When I was in high school there was a black guy a few years younger than me who was very openly gay and wore tight women's jeans and really short, tight shirts. I don't mind people like that at all, but this kid's attitude and personality attracted so much negative attention that nearly everybody hated him.
