Police officer assaulted in Crafton
Tuesday, May 29, 2007
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
A Crafton police officer was assaulted early this morning at a ball field in the borough.
The 36-year-old officer was found around 1 a.m. beaten and unconscious near the concession stand at Meyer-Middleton Field off Ewing Road.
The officer is being treated in Allegheny General Hospital.A monday morning lunatic, disturbed from time to time. Temporary catatonic madman on occasion..
Lightning crashes a new mother cries, her placenta falls to the floor. The angel opens her eyes, the confusion sets in before the doctor can even close the door..
The views and comments of E-man are mine and mine alone and therefore might not reflect the views of others or people in my current department. As such since this is still America I can post what I want without fear of retribution. I think.
RIP Eric

Police Officers put themselves at risk for strangers every day. Some do not make it home to their families. Next time you think of saying something negative about the police, remember...YOU are one of the strangers.

No real afternoon update but that he was working alone in the town, it was a holiday and no other officer was on with him. he was checking a baseball field for vandals, drinkers, and the concession stand. Someone came up BEHIND him and knocked him unconscious

That sucks. Anything further as to his condition and what happened, E?
And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.
