Tragedy Of Fall Death Dad Fleeing Police
11:00 - 05 June 2007
A father-of-two who died after falling from a 9ft fence as police investigated a domestic incident would have celebrated his 39th birthday yesterday.
The man, named locally as Russell Revell, died in the early hours of Saturday at Young Crescent, Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Floral tributes to Mr Revell have been put on lampposts in the area where he fell.
The printer was married to Tanya and had two children, Cory and Ella-Mae. He ran from his home when the police arrived. He climbed a fence at the bottom of his garden and fell over the other side.
A post-mortem examination showed the cause of death as head injuries.
A Notts Police spokesman said officers had not been in active pursuit of Mr Revell. The matter had been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, and Notts Police's Professional Standards Department is investigating, he added.

How is this a tragedy? He ran from the police, and died because of his own actions.

ummm
sorry but no sympathy here....
he chose to run...http://www.allpoetry.com/Grunts%20Girl
We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

They weren't even in active pursuit of him, so he died by his own stupidity / clumsiness.
Thing is, I can think of a few scenarios where he didn't do anything wrong other than getting scared and believing things his wife was telling him.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\
