Huge Marijuana Bust
Police find half-ton of pot in Southwest Side garage
June 15, 2007 - A tip led to a huge pot bust on the city's Southwest Side.
Police showed off the 972 pounds of pot they confiscated from a garage in the 3400-block of West 63rd Street Friday night. It's street value is $2.7 million.
Eighth District Commander Leo Schmitz credits his night shift crew for following up on a tip. Officers found traces of marijuana on the ground and then discovered the bales of pot.

My best bust was 2,553 lbs of MARIJUANA, 2nd was 1,300 lbs down here it's no big deal. BUt it's still a good bust, any amount off the streets is a good deal!!!
