Two Arrested For Going Topless

Hollister - Two Santa Clara County residents were arrested after police received reports the women were pumping gas topless at Safeway in Hollister.

Authorities believe the women might have overindulged on the San Benito County Wine Trail.

"They said earlier that day between 4 and 5pm they had been at a wine-tasting venue," said officer Rosie Betanio, spokeswoman for the Hollister Police Department.

Officers eventually found the women and the Acura Legend they had been driving at 6:35pm Saturday in the 1900 block of Union Road, Betanio said.

Michelle Monique Arreola, 26, of Sunnyvale, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure, public intoxication and possession of narcotics, all misdemeanors, police said.

Bailey Heath Ramberg, 25, of Mountain View, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure, driving under the influence and battery on a peace officer with injury, all misdemeanors, police said. Ramberg also was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, Betanio said.

When an officer first approached the women on Union Road, Arreola and Ramberg were dancing topless through field sprinklers, Betanio said. The officer suspected the women had been drinking.

"I believe he gave them T-shirts, found in their own vehicle, to put on," Betanio said.

Ramberg became aggressive and kicked a female officer in her chest, Bentanio said.

"She became extremely hostile and refused to sit in the patrol vehicle," Betanio said.

Ramberg continued to be combative at jail, kicking another female officer, Betanio said.

Three marijuana pipes, nearly a gram of marijuana and unidentified pills were found in the vehicle, Betanio said. Arreola and Ramberg have been released from the San Benito County Jail.

If she wans't seen driving how can you charge her with DUI? I thought it said they were running through the sprinklers. Yeah I know how'd they get from the gas station to the sprinklers, I bet the drove. But unless I ssen it I wouldn't cite them for it!
