(AP) GRAPEVINE, TX - A hospital technician is accused of stealing credit cards from a police officer who had just died in an emergency room.

Dandy David Wiles
Police said Don Armstrong's driver's license, Social Security card and two credits cards were taken and later used to buy a computer and a television at two stores, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Armstrong, 58, who was taken to Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine after he crashed his vehicle May 10, died that day of a heart attack.
According to one North Texas newspaper, Dandy David Wiles, 29, of Dallas was free Wednesday after posting $5,000 bail following his arrest Tuesday.
He was charged with fraudulent use of or possession of identifying information, a state jail felony that carries a maximum penalty of two years in jail, Grapevine police Sgt. Todd Dearing said.
Wiles didn't immediately return a phone call seeking comment Wednesday.
Debbie Armstrong, the officer's wife, said she did not know that her husband's cards and information were taken until she got the bill nearly a month later.
Within days, investigators determined that the cards were not stolen at the crash scene. Wiles later was identified as the person in surveillance video from the store where the television was purchased, police said.

What a total shitbag. I can't believe they only set this guys bail at 5k, he probably spent that much on the fallen officer's credit cards. This guy deserves to be ass raped by a Dyson vacuum till he turns inside out.
and we need a smiley that's even more pissed off than that.

that is very disturbing

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

I like how it states " A maximum of two years" As if he would serve that with our current justice system...

Yeah, we'll be lucky if he gets two years probation

I seriously doubt this is the first patient he's stolen from, although it may be the first time he got caught.
On the bright side, he's a moron for not realizing that they can coordinate the time on security tapes with the time on the credit card transaction - so he'll get caught again eventually.

SOME people might print a BOLO with his mug and vehicle info...and attached yahoo map of his house.
I feel THEY might issue him numerous citations for his transgressions before court.
I would...I mean THEY would make themselves very familiar with this person.
