Off-duty deputy saves toddler who fell in pool
OCEANSIDE: An off-duty sheriff's deputy rushed to a neighbor's home and performed CPR on a toddler who had fallen into a pool, Oceanside police said.
The 17-month-old boy was listed in stable condition yesterday at a hospital.
Police said the boy's mother reported that she was in the kitchen of her home on Maple Drive near Sunburst Drive about 1:15 p.m. Sunday when she noticed her son was missing,
She said she went outside and found him at the bottom of the pool.
Officers said Deputy Yvan Rogers, who lives a few doors away, performed CPR on the boy and brought back his pulse and breathing before paramedics arrived. Rogers is assigned to the traffic division in Vista. –L.S.Molly Weasley makes Chuck Norris eat his vegetables.

awesome...lived in Oceanside for about a year, all those guys I met are top shelf
500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.
