20 year old man arrested for dancing naked in the street, and pulling a cloth back & forth, between his legs
BRATTLEBORO — A local man charged in May with a felony sex crime for dancing naked in the street has pleaded guilty to a lesser offense and been given a one-year deferred sentence.
Adhi Palar, 20, must also appear before the community's reparative board, which will work with him to design an appropriate sentence.
If Palar completes his sentence and stays out of trouble his record will be cleansed.
Palar has been one of the Brattleboro residents who became known for wearing nothing on the streets of the town.
But police said he crossed a line in May when he was seen dancing naked and pulling a piece of clothing back and forth between his legs rubbing his genitals, said a police report.
Palar told after his arrest that "there was nothing sexual involved in his activities and he was only washing himself," according to an affidavit filed in Vermont District Court in Brattleboro on Tuesday.
