Man With 33 pound Tumor On His Face
Warning - pictures are bizarre and sad.
The 31-year-old man has suffered from the tumor since birth. But left untreated, it has grown to more than 30 pounds. The weight of carrying the tumor on his face has deformed the man's backbone, stunted his growth and left him in physical and emotional pain.A team of doctors will try to remove the tumor. However, the surgery isn't without risk. Ultrasounds have revealed several large blood vessels that may hemorrhage and cause the patient to bleed to death during the operation.Despite the risks, doctors said they are optimistic they can remove the giant tumor and reconstruct the man's face.

That is some of the most insane stuff I have ever seen in my life. And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.

so i read that this was a guy in china... geesh...
I am amazed that either things like this get left untreated either by him not going to a dr... or i have no idea....

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
Found blackberry riots and
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Well I hope they are able to successfully remove it and he has no further complications so maybe he can finally experience a life without suffering.

I first saw a brief pic on the new last night and it didn't register in my mind what I was seeing.
That's when I started researching on line and couldn't believe it when I ran across some of the photos.
(Influks.com has another video, but is frickin sadder to watch - he is crying.)
I've only gotten bits and pieces off of the internet, but from what I gather, there was never any money to remove it.
Once the surgeries are a success and they are done fixing him, I'll try to remember to update.

But..but..but according to the Bloviating douchebag (Michael Moore) This CANT be true!!! I mean China has universal healthcare something like this COULDNT occur in that medical utopia..this must be some propaganda...

He looks similar to pics of Jonathan Merrick, the other famous "elephant man." Its a different condition, but it looks just as uncomfortable. In Merrick's time they didn't have the medical knowledge to save him...we do now. Sounds like Moore's utopia isn't as great as he believes it to be.

I'm a little curious as to what the removed tumor looks like and what affect the removal had on the way the guy looks. I'm sure all that skin isn't going to just spring back into place.
