Cop resigns over "dash cam flash"

North Port, Floirda - A North Port police officer has resigned over an explicit incident caught on his cruiser dashboard camera. Two women who witnessed a crime last month agreed to ride with Officer J.W. Triplett to point out a suspect.

While he investigated, one of the girls flashed the camera in Triplett’s patrol car. Then according to police documents, Triplett showed the video to other officers.

Authorities say the city was preparing to fire Triplett when he resigned. He was a 5-year veteran and named officer of the year in 2005.

Watch the video and you will see that it was a willing sober female who flashed the camera while the officer was not in the car....

(Must be more to this with his department as to why a recent COP OF THE YEAR is fired or would have been fired over something that should just be a reprimand at best.......)

He must have peed in someone's Cherios to get fired for this. I find it extremely hypocritical that he would be fired for the showing the video, yet the department released it to the media.
