Arkansas man, 93, shoots robber after being beaten unconscious, police say

EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas police say a 24-year-old burglar armed with a soda can was foiled by his 93-year-old victim -- who was armed with a handgun.
Police say it began when Douglas Williams beat Willie Lee Hill unconscious with a soda can.
They say the elderly man came-to a short time later and, covered in blood, pulled out a .38-caliber handgun. Williams charged at Hill who shot him in the throat.
Police say the suspect admitted he got what he "deserved."
Both men were taken to an Arkansas hospital. Williams was moved to a Louisiana medical center, where he's in critical condition. Police are planning to charge him with burglary, battery and theft.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."

Darned media. Never mind the criminal's condition, How is the senior citizen doing? Injuries at his age can be life threatening.
