Motorcyclist murdered on motorway
A motorway is closed in both directions in Warwickshire after a motorcyclist was murdered, police have said.
The man was travelling south on the M40, between junctions 13 and 12, at 1420 BST, when the incident took place.
West Midlands Ambulance said they found the man with serious injuries, but he died at the scene. Police are treating the death as murder.
The motorway is closed in both directions and is expected to remain so for up to six hours.
It is closed southbound between junction 14, Warwick, and 12, Gaydon, and northbound between 12 and 13, Bishops Tachbrook.
Police are appealing for any motorists travelling on the M40 who may have witnessed the incident to contact them. An incident room has been set up at Warwickshire Police headquarters.

Biker Shot Dead On Motorway

A motorcyclist has been shot dead on the M40 motorway in Warwickshire.
Air ambulance crews treated the man at the scene of the incident between junctions 13 and 12.
But he was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is thought the biker may have been a visitor to the Bulldog Bash at the nearby Long Marston airfield near Stratford - billed as Europe's number one biker party.
Both carriageways of the motorway in Warwickshire are closed between junctions 14 and 12 southbound and northbound between 10 and 13.
The motorway is expected to remain closed for up to six hours.
Organisers of the Bulldog Bash said they were aware of a shooting.
A spokesman said: "At the moment we are all a bit shocked about the shooting - I've got nothing to say."
