BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. -- It's not the SS Minnow but the owners of a cabin cruiser are stranded in Bartow County.
Authorities said around 1:30 Monday morning the skipper ran the boat onto the red clay shores of Lake Allatoona.
"It's way up there. When I saw it, I was shocked," said Victoria Wright.
Luckily, no one was hurt even though the boat was doing about 15 MPH when it hit the rock shore.
"Pretty nice boat to be running on the ground like that," said James Morgan.
Lake Allatoona is down 10 feet. Police said the captain was unfamiliar with the lake and it was dark and they believe it was an accident.
No charges are expected to be filed.dlefdal said:

If it was dark and he was unfamiliar with the lake what was he doing going 15 miles an hour? And doesn't his boat have any lights? and why was he out at 1:30 in the morning? Not an experienced boater, right?
