Police Arrest Accused Peeper

FLOWER MOUND -- Flower Mound police said they arrested a man accused of sitting in a woman's back yard and peering into her window, all while eating a burrito, NBC 5 reported.



Police said it happened last week at a house on Sheryl Drive.

After the woman spotted the man looking in her window, her husband confronted him and he left before police arrived.

Police said they later arrested the suspect, Edward Henderson, with some help from neighbors.


"Had we not had additional tips from other persons in the area who had seen this individual, we probably would not have caught up with this person and he could have continued doing this," Wendell Mitchell of the Flower Mound Police Department said.

Henderson was staying at the home of a friend who lives nearby, authorities said.


The incident has police reminding people to keep their gates locked. Fenced back yards make it easier for peepers, or even burglars to hide out because no one can see them from the street, authorities said.


"It's just another thing they can do to help protect their property," Mitchell said.
