Sucky way to go
To die at the Waffle House... ugh. But the rest of the story is so much crazier.

What may have started as a mundane day off for Ryan Sanford ended like he wouldn't believe.
Sanford says he was in line at a 7-11 on Hull Street in Chesterfield when his encounter with an erratic stranger began.
Sanford says a man ran around the store acting agitated, bounced off the windows and knocked over magazine racks.
Witnesses say the man left the store and rolled around on the grass in front of the 7-11. He then darted into the intersection of Hull Street and Turner Road.
They thought he was just going to cross the street but instead he turned back around and tried to get into vehicles at the stop light. The man actually hopped on the back of one of the car, which witnesses say then sped away.
"They're doing probably about 60 miles and hour, she slams on the breaks smokes rolling out the tires,” Sanford says. “This guy does a Superman off the top of the car."
Sanford, who followed the man in his car says he got up like nothing happened and ran to the Waffle House down the street.
In the restaurant, other witnesses say the man slammed his head against a wall and window inside the restaurant, breaking the glass.
Police say the man told an officer he needed help before collapsing on the pavement.
"Paramedics got here; he turned gray,” Sanford says. “I think he was dead. They were doing CPR on him, but they couldn't resuscitate him."
The man was later pronounced dead at Chippenham Hospital.
The man’s exact cause of death has not been determined, nor has his identity. Police say they took photos of him, along with pictures of his tattoos, to help determine who he is.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

Probably a case of cocaine psychosis. Although it would be the worst I've ever heard of. We get quite a few cases of it where I work. Who knows, maybe he shot up some heroin and then smoked some crack: the combination usually produces some spectacular results.
