MISSION VALLEY – A police pursuit yesterday evening of a stolen car in University Heights ended in Mission Valley, where the driver collided head-on with a San Diego police car.
Paramedics were called for the driver of the stolen Honda Accord. The officer was not injured.
The pursuit began about 6:45 p.m. when an officer tried to pull over the Accord on Park Boulevard near El Cajon Boulevard. The driver made a U-turn and headed west on Washington Street, then north on state Route 163.
Officers giving chase radioed that the driver was swerving from lane to lane before taking Friars Road east. A police helicopter picked up the pursuit, reporting that the Accord was going 60 mph and ran at least one red light before making a second U-turn and heading west.
The pursuit continued to Mission Center Road south through the busy Mission Valley shopping area until the driver turned west on Camino del Rio South, a dead end.
Police said the driver made a third U-turn and collided with the patrol car about 6:55 p.m.Molly Weasley makes Chuck Norris eat his vegetables.

Scary way to stop a pursuit, but as long as the officer didn't get hurt, what the heck.
