Traffic stop yields embalmed heads
Traffic stop yields embalmed heads
Tue Oct 30, 6:04 PM ET
A traffic stop in Texas yielded about two dozen embalmed heads. But it's no Halloween joke. Investigators said the human heads had been used for medical training in the Fort Worth area and were being returned to Little Rock, Arkansas.
Hunt County Justice of the Peace Aaron Williams was summoned during a traffic stop Sunday in Royse City after a trucker was suspected of speeding.
"This is in the top five of the strangest things maybe the strangest that I've ever encountered," Williams told The Dallas Morning News on Monday.
The wrapped-in-plastic heads were found in the trailer. The driver couldn't immediately locate the documentation. The trucker and his cargo were later allowed to proceed after the paperwork was faxed to him.
The name of the company wasn't immediately released.

If anyone is taking orders, can I get a little head?

I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughnut... I don't need a receipt for the doughnut. I give you money and you give me the doughnut, end of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario that I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. To some skeptical friend, Don't even act like I didn't buy a doughnut, I've got the documentation right here... It's in my file at home. ...Under "D".

Poor truck driver was probably minding his own business, just trying to get ahead in life.

I wonder who gave them a heads up that somehing was weird about the truck.
And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.

All he was doing was trying to get aHEAD in life, because he was HEADING down the wrong road. It did not help that when he was stopped, everyone was trying to get into his HEAD and figure out where he was HEADING to with all those HEADS. It was lucky for him that they all got their HEADS together and contacted the HEAD of the company, who cleared this all up so he could continue HEADING to where he was supposed to deliver those HEADS. What a HEADache this must have been.

Please don't make such ridiculous comments about this morbid story. I think that it is a shame that you guys would be so dark-witted over this. Its just nasty. That cargo was the sacred remains of DEAD PEOPLE!! Show some goddamned respect for the dead, will ya?
I would have thought you people had better heads on your shoulders than to be like that...

He's got a good head on his shoulders, and a couple dozen more in the back...
I can just see the Officer quizzing the trucker and not liking his replies...

There's a moral in here for truck drivers -

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion
