Man Found Dead Under Pile Of Peanuts
NEWSOMS, VA. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a worker found under a large pile of peanuts .
The Southampton County Sheriff's Department has not identified the man, a worker at the Severn Peanut Company in Newsoms, which is in southeastern Virginia near the North Carolina border.
Coworkers noticed he was missing around noon Tuesday. They told police they searched for two hours before finding the worker under the pile of peanuts .
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
