Angry truck driver tries to tow cop car
GRESHAM, Ore. - A tow truck driver upset over a recent ticket tried to tow a police cruiser, authorities said.
The 32-year-old man was arrested after he hooked his truck to the marked police vehicle while an officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call, police said.
Authorities said the driver released the cruiser when another officer ordered him to. He later locked the doors of his truck and refused to cooperate, police said.
The driver then called the police station, "apparently unsatisfied with the police response he had generated when he tried to tow a marked police vehicle," according to a police report.
The manager of the tow company was summoned and eventually coaxed the driver into surrendering.
The driver was charged with unlawful use of a vehicle, obstructing governmental administration, interfering with a peace officer and criminal mischief.Do not war for peace. If you must war, war for justice. For without justice there is no peace. -me

And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee

WTF? OK, come on now. Whatever happend to aggressive negotiations? Its crap like this that makes the public not respect us. Break the window of the truck. Unlock the door. And drag him out and place him under arrest. If he wants to fight, then between unlocking the door and dragging him out, place this phrase: "TASER! TASER! TASER!"
Why wasn't he under arrest when he was trying to tow the car in the 1st place? Why give him the opportunity to get in the truck?
Are you a 3%er? If you aren't, you should be.

I agree with MonsterMash on this topic, but remember the press reports only what they want to print and not all the facts. I for one would like to know more about this incident to make an informed decision on this (ie like why was there no free large sample of ASS WHUPPIN
given to him to help him understand the error of his ways!!
)
To all, Be safe, watch your ass, cover your 6 and not just from the bad guys, and remember to be the sheep dog and not the sheep, (They more often then not get screwed in the end

In all my years of law enforcement I met a lot of tow truck drivers. Although they were generally amiable and friendly, I never did meet one that had an IQ in the normal or above normal range! Nice guys but dumber that dirt.

I don't find this one bit strange at all....I use to park my unmarked, clearly recognizable as an unmarked with a official permit in the window and worry about the traffic agents writing a ticket or towing it..... Its been done and their defense was "I didn't know"
