Officer Arrested For DUI While Driving Cruiser On Turnpike
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- An off-duty Miami-Dade Police Department officer has been busted for drunken driving.
The Florida Highway Patrol saidOfficer Jeffrey Janish was in police uniform when he was pulled over and arrested Monday for driving under the influence. He had been speeding in his police car on the Florida Turnpike, swerving from lane to lane.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office booking center, Janish's blood alcohol level was about three times the legal limit.
A Miami-Dade police spokesman said Janish has been relieved of duty with pay pending the investigation.Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence.

Sheesh, doing that out of uniform in a private car is bad enough, but how dumb do you have to be to be caught DUI while in uniform and driving a police car?

I know it says he was in uniform, I am just curious if it was a marked cruiser or unmarked cruiser/plain car like detectives car. I figure he could be a plain clothes guy who worked an off duty uniform security job at a store for police presence due to Christmas thefts or something.
Still MEGA STUPID no matter what though.........................

True, but we use it as a term for unmarked cars as well, such as an all white Sgts car with hide away led lights etc.. or we have some Ford CVPI cars that have no decals on them but are dark blue, dk red, or dk green, as well as some Dodge Chargers for the traffic units that are one solid color. If it has a cage/partition for a prisoner they are "cruisers" in FL, so thats where my question came from. No biggie.
