Brainless idiot caught stealing police issued items from inside a police car from the police station parking lot
MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) - There is brazen, and then there is not very smart.
A man with what police say is a lengthy theft record was caught stealing from marked Madison Heights patrol cars.
The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak reports an officer caught the 48-year-old man from Oakland County's Waterford Township about 2:30 a.m. Friday rifling through the unlocked cars in a lot behind the suburban Detroit police station.
Detective Lt. Corey Haines says two police flashlights were stuffed up his sleeves. A Madison Heights police badge and pair of police gloves also were in his pockets.
Police say the suspect, whose name wasn't released, could be charged with larceny and trespassing.

Thats why you lock your car everywhere you go, even at the station.

We have an unsecured lot (
I know), and I would never dream of leaving my vehicle unlocked even at the station.

Thats about as dumb as the drunks that occasionally drive up to bond their buddies out at the police station.

Worse than that,,, The other night we had some thugs flashing gang signs and wanting to fight other people in the area. We make contact with them and ID them before telling them to hit the road or go to jail. The dumb asses call a friend to pick them up, and lo and behold they show up in a stolen PT Cruiser. We run the tag as they drive off and do a felony stop on the car and then they all go to jail! Found a good stash of mary-j under the front seat too.
