A MELBOURNE policeman has been hit with a swag of serious charges, including four rape charges, after a corruption investigation.
The 33-year-old leading senior constable, Huy Quach, 33, stationed in the eastern suburbs, will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon on four counts of rape.

He is also facing 11 drug-related charges linked to ecstasy, cocaine and amphetamines; one charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice; two counts of misconduct in public office and two charges of offering a bribe or commission.
The Melbourne Magistrates' Court heard today he had attempted to bribe other officers

The officer was arrested yesterday after an investigation by the Victoria Police ethical standards department.

The offences allegedly happened between 2004 and 2007.

The charges are the result of a six-month investigation by Victoria Police Ethical Standards Department.
Magistrate Greg Connellan remanded Quach, who has been suspended from duty, in custody to appear in the same court tomorrow for a bail application.
A committal mention is scheduled for May 2.
