I seem to remember something like that happened in another state and the horse died (I think the guy punched it in the nose or something). Anyway, the state passed a law making that kind of crap a felony.

I was just thinking that myself. Seems to me it would be a felony. Something like inflicting serious injury upon a police animal. At least here in CA. I could be wrong so don't quote me on it.
If I was the horse I would have kicked that woman where the sun don't shine.

Yeah a better ending to this story would be if the horse retaliated!

I agree, that should be a felony offense.
Here in Ohio, if someone assaults a K9, it is a assualt on a police animal, i think its a F-5, i will have to check on that to be exactly sure thoughYEAH, IM THE BERRIES, AND CHERRIES IN YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR.

Our horses are trained to move people forcefully if needed by whipping their behind around and knocking the person over (usually used when people are grabbing the riders or attempting an attack). She hit my horse and she would have been down for the count....my horse is about 6 feet tall at the back and about 1400#.

A good punishment for her would be to let the horse get the last word and kick to her neck. Seriously who is that stupid to do that anyways and in front of the handler. Fricken idiot!
