Two witnesses helped Flower Mound police capture two brothers suspected of robbing a bank about 10:15 a.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Flower Mound Road.
Police arrested Trevor Burns, 22, and James Burns, 17, as they tried to flee a Bank of America branch inside an Albertsons grocery store.
Police say they arrested Trevor Burns, who was carrying a handgun, in the store parking lot with the help of one witness, while another witness chased James Burns in his vehicle until the Volkswagen Jetta crashed in the 2500 block of Magnolia Leaf Lane.
The witness "detained" him until officers arrived, according to a police report. Another handgun was found in the Jetta.
Police didn't provide the witnesses' names, details about their involvement or information about possible injuries to James Burns. Nor did they say how much money was stolen from the bank.
