Mike Huckabee is dropping out of the presidential race.
The former Arkansas governor is withdrawing after John McCain clinched the nomination by getting 1,191 delegates.
Huckabee was the Arizona senator's chief remaining rival

Damn.
I guess I'll be voting for McCain now. If anything, maybe this helped his potential presidential candidacy for next time, or helped him secure a spot with McCain somewhere if he wins.

He gave a good concession speech on Fox. I hope for a VP slot, but I still pray for the FairTax.

I actually think a McCain/Huckabee ticket could be fairly electable amongst not just conservatives, but also moderates and independents. I'd take it as a consolation.
McCain does well with the moderates and independents in the west, and up north, while Huckabee does well in the south and with the religious right.

The force that propels you to prevail when you are put to a test of survival will be a mindset that refuses to accept nothing but winning.
Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to reach out and bitch slap that motherf*cker upside the head.

I'll make you Secretary of Defense, and Jenna will be in charge of foreign relations. I won't allow her to say anything but jokes. No policy, no politics, nothing but jokes. I figure she'll make so many bad jokes around the important people of these other countries that they'll fee bad for us and actually begin to like us.

03-05-08, 12:27 AM #12Either that, or she'll start more wars for me to play with!
