SAN DIEGO – A convicted sex offender was arrested Monday night in Bay Terraces after a man attempted to kidnap two boys and exposed himself to two women, authorities said.
A man went into a Blockbuster video store on Paradise Valley Road near Woodman Street just before 9 p.m. and walked over to an 8-year-old boy, grabbed his shirt and tried to drag him out of the store, San Diego police said.
The boy's parents thwarted the kidnap, called 911 and followed the man.
He then went into a liquor store in the same shopping center and approached two women, who screamed and ran after he exposed himself, police said.
The would-be kidnapper then opened the door of a vehicle parked in front of a laundromat and tried to grab another boy. The boy's mother heard the commotion and chased the man away.
A 42-year-old suspect was arrested at a nearby McDonald's. He was booked into jail and will face charges including kidnapping and failing to register as a sex offender, police said.Molly Weasley makes Chuck Norris eat his vegetables.
