Carroll County K9 Deputy Injured!
This is the next county over from us. He just finished K9 academy i think in December.
MALVERN – Deputy Ronnie Clapper of the Carroll County Sheriff Department was treated in Mercy Medical Center at Canton for injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle crash that involved his cruiser and another vehicle at Hill Church St. and Carroll View just north of Malvern Wednesday afternoon. Carroll County’s K-9 unit, Sonja, who also was in the cruiser, was slightly injured and shaken and was returned home.
Sheriff Dale Williams said Clapper’s cruiser was hit by a vehicle whose driver was not identified. The other vehicle reportedly hit a mailbox, went left of center and struck the cruiser head-on.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a Canton hospital by ambulance, but his condition was not available Wednesday night.
State troopers of the New Philadelphia post of the Ohio Highway Patrol are investigating, but no report was available Wednesday night.YEAH, IM THE BERRIES, AND CHERRIES IN YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR.
