Teen decapitated by 6 Flags coaster...
http://news.aol.com/story/_a/teen-de...193x1200216822
This tragedy happened this afternoon just outside of Atlanta. Teenagers do a lot of stupid things and as a kid I pulled my share and even worse than hopping a few fences to retrieve a cap. This must have been a terrible shock to the parents and friends of this young boy and my sympathy and prayers are with them.

I feel bad for the parents, but had the kid followed the rules and stayed away from the restricted areas, I bet he'd be alive today.
I know kids think they are invinsible, but there are rules for a reason.
Still, the whole situation sucks because it was so avoidable. Now his parents will have a lifetime of grief.

We had an amusement company come to town and hold a fair every year. My older sister was in high school at the time and she and a bunch of her friends crowded into a car on a ride called the Scrambler. During the ride the door flew open from being overcrowded and she flew out onto the ground. The next car hit her in the head, dazed she sat up and got hit in the head again before they were able to stop the ride. My dad was on OT at the park and rushed over not realizing it was his daughter. It wasn't a pretty site, but she recovered after they stitched her head up. Kids just don't realize the danger they put themselves in. And this was the responsible sister, lol.
My dad, I miss him every day.

It is a terrible tragedy, but it's one that could have been avoided if the teen simply read the signs that said "Danger" and "Do Not Enter".
He didn't.

Got to feel bad for his loved ones and friends.
17 year old should have known better, what a shame, too young to die.
Kids used to ride the tops of the subway trains for kicks, one of them stuck his head up at the wrong time and lost it.

Two six foot fences later, and he removed the need for the hat he was trying to fetch.

I feel for his family in this matter. I just hope they feel the need to file some stupid lawsuit claiming somehow it's the parks fault for "allowing" the teen to go back there. Somehow I can just see it coming.
I feel this teen should have quit while he was a-head.Last edited by BigDawg; 06-29-08 at 07:12 PM. Reason: Added thought

I feel this kid should have either sat on his cap while riding the coaster or gave it to someone on the ground to hold, therefore he would still be alive and have his cap. But alas, some people aren't that smart.

Very tragic story. Maybe someone should have given that kid a heads up when the coaster was comming.
