Good Night Chesty Where Ever You Are.
A Good Friend will bail you out of jail, but a true friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying, "That was Awesome."

May he rest in peace.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

I watched every single one of those clips. What makes it hard is knowing that he was obviously well liked, not only for the officer that he was but the type of man he was as well. Another "Cops Cop". This caused me to reflect once again on the man who I honor in my signature at the bottom of my posts. In a lot of ways they were very much alike. These are officers whom other officers are inspired to be much like. Rest assured that God only takes the very best. I hope that there are many more officers out there like these men.

" I was that which others did not want to be. I went where others feared to go , and did what others failed to do. I asked nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly excepted the fact of eternal loneliness...should I fall. I have seen the face of terror and felt the stinging cold of fear. I have loved, cried, suffered, and hoped, but most of all, I have lived times others would say were best forgotten. At least some day I will be able to say that I was proud of what I was- A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER!"

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
