FORT WORTH — A 56-year-old man who police say rammed 17 vehicles with his truck Wednesday is in jail today on charges of driving while intoxicated and felony criminal mischief.

Michael John Holden caused an estimated $75,000 in damage in parking lots near the Star Light Lounge and Final Approach bars in the 3100 block of Alta Mere Drive, said Lt. Paul Henderson, a Fort Worth police spokesman.
It was unclear where he had had been drinking. Employees at the Star Light Lounge and Home Plate Sports Bar said Mr. Holden walked into the bar, but he did not drink there.
Police arrived at the Star Light Lounge about 9:40 p.m. after receiving a report of a man ramming vehicles with his white Toyota Tundra truck in the parking lot, Lt. Henderson said. According to witnesses, the man then drove to a nearby parking lot where he rammed several other vehicles.
With a witness following him, Mr. Holden left that lot and pulled over in the 6500 block of Calmont Avenue, where he was arrested by police.
Officers said he smelled of alcohol, Lt. Henderson said. But blood alcohol tests are still pending.
No one was injured during the incident, Lt. Henderson said. Police do not know what prompted it.
Mr. Holden remained in the Mansfield jail this afternoon.
