Victim Says She Accepted Ride Home From Stranger

UPDATED: 5:44 pm CDT September 24, 2008
DALLAS -- Police have released video showing a 19-year-old woman pushed from a fast-moving car into traffic along the North Dallas Tollway over the weekend.
The victim, who did not want to be identified, said she was thrown from the moving car at more than 50 mph near the Park Lane exit.
"You've got a female that's rolling across the lanes of traffic on a freeway. She's very, very lucky to have gotten out of this alive," said Senior Cpl. Janice Crowther.
The victim said she had accepted a ride home from a stranger at Oktoberfest at the Addison Circle, a decision she said she regrets.
"It's just stupid to jump in a car with a stranger, and he seemed completely nice," she said.
The woman said the man's attitude changed once they got into the car.
"I looked up, and I said, 'We're not going right away?'" she said. "And he said, 'Well, calm down, no worries,' and started touching my leg and going up."
She said the driver got angry when she refused his advances and threw her from the car onto the North Dallas Tollway.
"I was screaming," she said. "All I could think about was the pain, nothing else."
The woman said she heard another woman start screaming as she laid in the road.
"And she just said, 'Roll, roll, roll,' (and) keep rolling to the end so I didn't get hit," the woman said.
She said her "guardian angel" parked her car to block oncoming traffic.
"If she was not there then, I probably would not be sitting here with you guys," she said.
The victim said the man was driving an older-model, tan Toyota Corolla. Investigators are looking at surveillance cameras from one of the toll plazas in an effort to identify the driver.

I can't believe in this day and age a 19 year old doesn't have enough sense to remember one of the first things we are taught as a child "DON'T ACCEPT THINGS FROM STRANGERS"!
My dad, I miss him every day.

The guy should have had that old bumber sticker "Ass, Grass, or Gas. No one rides for free"
But seriously that was stupid on her part to just jump in with someone, and he should have the common sense to know not to treat a female that way.'Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a
delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly
promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely
possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!'

The guy was wrong for doing that but it also goes to show you shouldn't get in any stranger's vehicle.
