Another reminder to stay safe!
State trooper escapes injury when his motorcycle is hit
http://www.oregonlive.com/news/index..._injury_w.html
An Oregon State Police trooper escaped injury this morning when an out-of-control car struck his unoccupied motorcycle on Interstate 205 near Gladstone.
Senior Trooper Mark Kingma stopped a northbound Toyota pickup and was on the passenger side of the vehicle talking to the driver at the time of the crash, just north of the 82nd Drive overpass.
Tigard resident Katy Luanne Brownell, 23, lost control of her 1997 Volkswagen Jetta while changing lanes.
Brownell struck the rear of a 2007 International flatbed truck. Her car spun toward the right shoulder, hit Kingma's motorcycle and bumped into the Toyota pickup.
Brownell was cited for careless driving. No one was injured.--"D.B.A.D." --Me

Interesting that the article didn't mention whether she was DUI or not. Then you can't expect the media to tell everything now, can you?

I thought that sentence covered that she was not DUI, as the driver was cited for careless, not arrested for DUI. I'm sure the driver was also not arrested for Violation of the Law Enforcement Officer Laser Safety Act, but because it doesn't specifically mention that, are we assuming that she might have been?

She wasn't DUII. If she had been, you can bet that after hitting a cop's motorcycle she would have been hooked up. Chances are she slid on the wet pavement right after it had rained and was going to fast.
