MacGyver tops TV tough guy poll
The TV action series lead role in MacGyver has beaten Buffy The Vampire Slayer and 24's Jack Bauer to the top of a new TV action heroes poll.
The role, which Richard Dean Anderson played for seven years from 1985, has topped the new countdown in TV Guide magazine.
Also making the top 10 are Tom Selleck's Magnum, P.I., Xena: Warrior Princess and Alias heroine Sydney Bristow.
The top five are:
1. MacGyver
2. Buffy The Vampire Slayer
3. Jack Bauer, 24
4. Sydney Bristow, Alias 5. Magnum P.I.

Are you serious? I know MacGyver is tough and whatnot, but Jack Bauer? He could seriously decimate MacGyver's face!

He could try, but as soon as Jack took a step toward MacGyver he'd find his shoe laces had been tied together. As he leaned forward to untie them a bag of sand would swing across the room causing him to tumble forward, crash through the fake floor MacGyver had rigged and Jack would land neck deep in a vat of fast set cement.
Also there would be a paperclip and some gum involved.
