Obama to make Islamic Speech in First 100 Days
President elect Obama is considering making a major foreign policy speech in an Islamic capital during his first 100 days as president in an effort to mend rifts between the U.S. and the Muslim world.

Is this a prudent thing to be doing? The last time I heard the Muslim world hadn't officially expressed regret or sorrow for 9/11/01 which happened over 8 years ago? This could be showing a sign of weakness to the fanatical muslim world who started this war and have no intentions of stopping till they've brought the Christian world and western powers to it's knees.

To put it simply: Not a prudent thing at all.
I'm betting this idea is being "floated" in the media so Obama can test the public waters, rather than doing what is right for the sake of doing what is right. The true measure of your character is what you choose to do when you think no one is looking.

Floated? You mean like the Clintons famous trial balloons?
No way, he is all about change.

Ahh Newsmax.
He has announced going to Iraq to meet with the troops AND see the PM of Iraq. So if he makes a speech there, no big surprise.
