Tuesday, December 16, 2008 – updated: 6:25 am EST December 16, 2008
FOREST PARK, Ga. -- A shootout at a Clayton County cell phone store left one suspected robber wounded and another on the run.
The owner of the Metro/PCS store in Forest Park traded shots Monday night with two gunmen who tried to hold him up at closing time.
"One of the suspects suffered a gunshot wound," said Sergeant Nathan Adams of the Forest Park Police Department. "He is being treated at a local hospital."
The front of the cell phone store is pockmarked with bullet holes.
The second suspect fled in a white truck, Adams added.
Detectives are waiting to get a look at video from security cameras in the store to get a good description of the second gunman.dlefdal said:

Good for that store owner! Too bad he has to fix up bullet holes now though. I would say he should sue the bad guys for shop repairs, but that's one of those blood from a turnip situations.

it's nice to hear property owners/civilians fighting back. Cops just can't be everywhere for everyone all the time. Since the economy is bad, I've noticed an increase in robberies, home invsions... in my area. The more people fight back, the more the criminals will be afraid(hopefully)

That's awesome. Hopefully this will become more frequent and the BG's will think twice about robbing anyone
