One carjacking suspect was killed and six other suspects were injured Sunday when a stolen truck being pursued by police crashed on I-20 in Douglas County.
Authorties said Monday that the group may have been involved in other crimes across the metro area.

The Ford F-150 truck was stolen in East Point about a half hour before the midnight crash, East Point police spokesman Detective Clifford Chandler said. The truck was tracked inside DeKalb County and police gave chase.
The pursuit continued west into Douglas County, where the truck driver lost control and crashed into a ravine, he said. At least two weapons were found inside the truck.
The man who died was ejected from the vehicle. Six people suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were air-lifted from the crash site, Chandler said. Four are at Grady Memorial and two are at Atlanta Medical Center. Atlanta Medical Center said one of two suspects there was in serious but stable condition.
“We’re following up leads to tie them to our case and to others in other metro jurisdictions,” Chandler said. “There is a possibility that the crime is gang-related but we don’t want to release details or other information until we can firm up some stuff.”
