Officer gets a little to close with inmates
This is actually a guy I graduated academy with. Barely made it. Real slacker type, managed to do just enough to pass. His final grade was only 2 points higher than needed. He wound up washing out of FTO with Anniston, a decent sized department.

Piedmont Police Officer Deon Harris-Brown was arrested Wednesday for committing prohibited acts with an inmate of the Piedmont City Jail, according to a press release from Piedmont Police Chief Steven Tidwell.
The arrest occurred at the conclusion of a joint investigation by the Piedmont Police Department, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Calhoun-Cleburne Drug and Major Crimes Task Force.
Harris-Brown was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Calhoun County Jail Thursday. No bond amount or court date has been set.
Tidwell said, “Our agency is saddened and disappointed by the actions of one of its members. Harris-Brown has violated the public’s trust and engaged in conduct that we will not tolerate. The Piedmont Police Department initiated an investigation as soon as we were made aware of the accusations. We then contacted the ABI and the Drug Task Force and requested their assistance. I would like to express my thanks to both agencies during this troubling time.”

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
