HOUSTON - A Texas death row inmate with a history of mental problems pulled out his only good eye and told authorities he ate it. Andre Thomas, 25, was arrested for the fatal stabbings of his estranged wife, their young son and her 13-month-old daughter in March 2004. Their hearts also had been ripped out. He was convicted and condemned for the infant's death.
While in the Grayson County Jail in Sherman, Thomas plucked out his right eye before his trial later in 2004. A judge subsequently ruled he was competent to stand trial.

You beat me to it!!!!!!! hehehe

Though who cares about this? He's going to die anyway, he doesn't need his eyesight when he's dead. If I was a prison guard there, I would bet him that he couldn't eat his own penis and balls, just to see what happens.
O.k., I know thats sick, but who cares? He's a f*** that brutally killed his wife and kids. The more excruciating his last days on this planet are, the better.

Oh, crap - He knows that all the liberal lawyers in Texas will swarm in to fight for a crazy person about to be executed so he's acting crazy to keep from being executed.
This is one of the few unresolved issues in Texas - You can kill ten busloads of nuns and babies, but if you're insane, the legal system will protect you from execution.
