Robbery Suspect Shot, Killed By Man He Tried To Rob
Thursday, January 15, 2009 – updated: 6:36 am EST January 15, 2009
ATLANTA -- Atlanta police said a robbery suspect was shot and killed by a man he tried to rob.
Police said a man and a woman were sitting in a vehicle outside the Graveyard Tavern Wednesday night on Glenwood Avenue. As the couple waited for the engine to warm up, an armed man walked up and demanded money.
SLIDESHOW: Fatal Shooting Scene
"At that time, the man that was inside the vehicle pulled his own weapon and shot the suspect five to six times," said Sgt. Lisa Keyes with the Atlanta Police Department.
The suspect died at the scene.
Atlanta police said they believe it was an act of self-defense but they continue to investigate.
Investigators have questioned the man and woman involved.

he was about as bright as the four homies that thought they would hold up a cop bar here one hight. I was one of the responding officers and they were begging us to take them away from those "crazy dudes with guns" and put them in a safe cell. ILMAO

We currently have a -5 windchill at 0502. I'm going to let the car run for a half hour before I drive away. This sucks big time.
