$156,000 a year? I guess I know what I'm doing wrong now.
SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

i really dont think this is another black eye for LEO as you put it.
The chief was corrupt, and it has finally caught up to him.
i think the public will think the same thing after reading the article i just read. Hell, they might even feel sorry for the Officers that worked under him.
I'm glad these officers can now effectively do there job, and not worry about reprecussions for doing whats right.YEAH, IM THE BERRIES, AND CHERRIES IN YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
Eat it, Play with it, or piss on it, and walk away!
As smart as man is, we haven't been able to invent a machine that can smell drugs or tell us where a person has walked,” Dogs are sophisticated investigative tools!

I just meant that it is another story about police misconduct, this time blatantly admitted by the party involved. The campus big shots that covered it up should face civil litigation in my opinion, as well as the "chief". It sucks that good cops had to work under him.

And they're going to get heat for it for some time. We had a few morons assigned to dope planting dope and writing phony search warrants in the late 70's. They were caught, but we all caught shit from the public for nearly a year.
Corruption makes everyone look dirty even when it's only one or a few people.
