Toilet Memorial Service
Some folks will do anything to sell a burgerCarl's Junior to hold funeral for "John"
Thursday, January 29, 2009
CENTERVILLE -- Carl's Jr. will hold a memorial service on Friday for "John," the unlucky toilet that was shot to pieces at one of the fast-food chain's restaurants earlier this month.
Employees will hand out bottles of Kaboom Bowl Blaster toilet cleaner, "the toilet's favorite," for the first 50 attendees at the Carl's Jr. at 385 N. 800 West in Centerville, according to the restaurant's Facebook page. The service will be held at 10 a.m.
"We weren't planning on having one unless people showed interest in it and they did," said Beth Mansfield, spokeswoman for CKE Restaurants, Inc.
"Show up, buy a burger and mourn for "John," our fallen friend."
Mansfield said the restaurant received condolences on the Carl's Jr.'s page on Facebook and Twitter, as well as from a Salt Lake City radio station and decided to hold the memorial service for the destroyed toilet.
Centerville Carl's Jr. Manager Christian Martinez wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page that e-mails and cards expressing condolences have also been sent to the restaurant.
On Jan. 15, a 26-year-old man was using a toilet in the fast-food restaurant's bathroom when his gun dropped from its holster, struck the floor and fired a shot, destroying the toilet he had just used.
Porcelain shrapnel cut the man's arms, who was a concealed-carry weapons permit holder.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."

Holsters. Not just a fashion statement.

Another reason why "Mexican-carry" is not a good idea.
note: though the phrase is not politically correct it is the way I have seen articles refer to the mode of carry that designates a person as a tool because instead of buying a holster they shove a firearm down the front of their pants.Romans 8:28-31

It's a rare gun that actually goes off just because it was dropped.

(Pun intended.)At some point in the tucking in or retrieving it process the trigger was pressed, discharging the firearm. The round traveled through the right testicle, creased the inside of the left thigh, and entered into the left calf. That which does not kill me, better start fucking running.
