Well, Dallas' projects could certainly stand cutting.

Why on earth is Dallas talking about using stimulus money to build a city-owned $386 million hotel to compete with private hotels? Are they trying to put private hotels out of business?

The Hispanic cultural center is crap, too - That sort of thing should be funded with private donations.

I also noticed that they are only planning to spend $1.5 million on 20 new police officers, when Dallas needs 50 times that many - But at least they're talking about putting in a new radio system to get them out of 1970's technology.

Click on any state and see what projects the stimulus money will give the state. For example Florida has 1752 projects, no wonder our governor likes the stimulus package.
