Rapper Chris Brown & singer girlfriend Rihanna go on Island Retreat after he beats her severely
In an exclusive update, Celebuzz has obtained details on the island property where embattled couple Chris Brown and Rihanna have reportedly reunited.
People magazine reports the pair have enlisted the help of Sean "Diddy" Combs and his extravagant home on Miami's Star Island.
"It's like a compound," a source tells Celebuzz, "there are two guest properties, one of which where [Combs' mother] Janice lives when she visits. The gem is the main house, however."
And what a gem. It counts neighbors like Gloria Estefan in walking distance. The property was acquired by Combs from record honcho Tommy Mottola for $20 million, fully furnished complete with original safari prints by artist Peter Beard.
"The house is very minimal, very zen," the source said. "It's where Diddy goes to get away."
If Rihanna and Brown, 20 and 19 respectively, are indeed holed up on the island, it's only in the lap of luxury.
The property gates are adorned with the rapper's initials "PD," for P. Diddy. A large statue of buddah greets guests at the main house entrance, followed by a grand foyer lined with river rocks.
"The formal dining room is gorgeous and the focal point of the house, but the kitchen is where everyone congregates," the source said.
The commercial-sized kitchen leads to a veranda that spans the entire home, drenched in wicker furniture overlooking a grey stone pool, also lined in river rocks.
"Staff is everywhere, there's a chef on call 24-hours, and he only burns Dyptique Baies candles."
Guests of Diddy's at the retreat have included Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith, Bruce Willis and baseball star Derek Jeter.
The show-stopper, however, is an epic dock capped off in a lush cabana overlooking the water.
"You could anchor a Carnival cruise [on the dock]," says our source.
Reps for Brown and Rihanna could not be reached for comment.
In a shocking development in the Chris Brown and Rihanna saga, People.com is reporting that the two have reunited and are currently holed up in one of Sean "Diddy" Combs' residences.
The website quotes a source saying "they're together again. They care for each other."
"While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves."
The couple are currently at Combs' house on Star Island near Miami, Florida, UsWeekly reported later. Brown has been seen smiling, riding a jet ski, and flexing his arm muscles. Rihanna arrived four days ago, a source told the website.
Rihanna has been understandably lowkey since the alleged assault on Grammy weekend which forced her to pull out of the ceremony. Most recently she was pictured in Mexico on vacation.
In its latest issue, People reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. "He called to wish her happy birthday," a source told the magazine. "They've reached out to each other. It's been mutual."
This is the first time the two have been seen to be together since the incident.

Just like so many other women out there that like to crawl back to their abusive men: if that's what they want, that's what they get. I've got no sympathy for her, and he deserves to have the poop beat out of him.

Uh, around here when you get arrested for a felony DV assault, they issue a protection order.
It doesn't matter where you violate that order, the arrest is mandatory.

Down here that protection order becomes null and void if the "victim" invites the offender to violate that order. That case law was made when "victims" would call up the "offender" and invite them over for some good-time and then call the cops and have them arrested again when things didn't go their way.

Interesting. In N.C., it doesn't matter whether they were invited or not, the order remains valid regardless. We get plenty of baby momma drama where she will make up with Tyrone and then when she gets pissed over the slightest thing, call the cops on him when he shows up.
And we have to arrest.

The protective order is valid against the defendant not the plaintiff and can be issued against a man or woman. It should not be nulled and voided if the plaintiff invites the defendant over. The defendant knows better than to go. It's a court order not a stay away until I'm horny, need money or both order. The arrest is absolutely mandatory and CANNOT be ignored by any law enforcement officer.

Here in CA LE can only "request" an Emergency Protective Order" (EPO). In able to do so we call the on duty judge, explain what we have and he says yea or nay. It is only good for 72 hours, after that it is up to the involved party(s) to file for a restraining order. Once that restraining order is in effect it cannot be rescinded until the court does so or it is expired. So if she invites her "baby daddy" over he goes to jail. I have seen limited restraining orders where it says he can be there in the house he just can't "use violence" against her
Its whatever the courts decide.

Chris Brown charged with 2 felonies; details of pop star girlfriend Rihanna's assault revealed
Disturbing details of Rihanna's car ride from hell were revealed Thursday after R&B singer Chris Brown was charged with beating up the pop star as they drove home from a pre-Grammy Awards bash.
"I'm going to beat the s--t out of you when we get home," Brown screamed, according to an affidavit. "You wait and see!"
But almost immediately Brown began raining blows on Rihanna, who was identified as Robyn F. in the court papers.
At one point, he pulled over and put her in a head lock, making it hard for her to breathe "and she began to lose consciousness," the affidavit states.
Rihanna fought back and with her left hand she "began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself."
Her wretched ordeal didn't end until she "began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle." By then, Rihanna's face was covered with bruises and Brown's reputation was on the road to being ruined.
Brown is charged with felony assault and other charges that could mean up to 4 years, 8 months in prison if the 19-year-old singer is convicted.
He is to be arraigned later Thursday in an L.A. court at 6:30 p.m. New York time.
Brown's fists began flying on Feb. 8 a little after 12:25 a.m., when Rihanna intercepted a booty call from another woman to his cell phone, the affidavit says.
When Rihanna yelled at him, he pulled over and tried to kick her out of his rented Lamborghini, but she was wearing her seat belt. So he "shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle," court papers say.
When Rihanna, 21, turned to face him, Brown socked her in the left eye.
"He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left," the affidavit states.
Rihanna's mouth began to "fill with blood" and "splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the car," the document says.
Trapped, Rihanna picked up her cell phone and called her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales for help. But when she got Rosales' voice mail, Rihanna pretended she was on the line and told her, "I'm on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there."
Those words were like pouring gasoline on a fire.
"You just did the stupidist thing ever!" Brown screamed, according to the affidavit. "Now I'm really going to kill you."
Rihanna covered her face while Brown delivered a "barrage of punches" that bruised her arms. When Rihanna tried to text message her other assistant, Melissa Forde, Brown grabbed her cell phone and "threw it out of the window."
Rihanna then tried to grab Brown's cell phone and her beau put her in the head lock "and bit her on the left ear."
The alleged attack lasted just minutes and by 12:55 a.m., police were questioning Rihanna.
Forde told cops that Brown called her at 1 a.m. "as if nothing had happened," according to the affidavit. Brown hung up after she told him that Rihanna was talking to cops and he surrendered later at 7 p.m. and was told not to contact Rihanna.
Several days later, a photograph of Rihanna's battered face leaked out and shocked music fans everywhere.
In recent days, Brown and Rihanna were reportedly trying to reconcile, which would make prosecuting Brown more difficult if she decided not to testify.
The couple spent the weekend at Sean (Diddy) Combs' Star Island mansion in Miami, People magazine said.
Photos of a grinning Brown riding the waves and living it up on the beach while Rihanna remained out of sight riled fellow singer Usher.
"I'm a little disappointed in this photo," Usher said. "Come on Chris, have a little bit of remorse man. . . . The man's on Jet Skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?"
