Robber hit by car while fleeing jewelry store
By DOUG NURSE
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Thursday, March 26, 2009
A robber fleeing a jewelry store in Roswell on Wednesday was struck by a car as he attempted to cross Holcomb Bridge Road.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was in Brown & Co. Jewelers store on Holcomb Bridge Road about 3:45 p.m. posing as a customer, said Police Lt. James McGee. The man snatched a bracelet valued between $5,000 and $10,000 and hit the door, McGee said.
An off-duty officer hired by the store gave chase, calling for him to halt. As the man entered traffic, he turned, apparently to see how close the officer was, McGee said. He was promptly hit by a Buick, which reportedly ran over his head.
He was in critical condition at North Fulton Regional Hospital Wednesday afternoon.

That is poetic justice but the turd's family will probably sue the jewelry store, the officer, and even though he was not on duty, the department he works for.

Don't forget GM. Buicks should have had anti-felon brakes.
Anyone else wondering how the reporter has managed not to put his head under a Buick's tire this long? Imagine all those years of class rosters... "Nurse, Doug"

I was watching one of the reality shows the other night. Two guys decided to streak through a resturant. They had the car out front, running, for a fast get away. Yep, somebody stole the car. The two guys were stuck, naked, on a cold night. I hurt myself laughing.

If the dirtbag sues ANYONE, I should hope that the driver of the Buick turns and sues the thief for any and all damages, plus emotional distress.
