Bomb Squad Discovers Other Devices In Detroit Home

DETROIT -- An 18-year-old man was killed when a grenade-like device exploded in his hands at a Detroit home early Friday morning.

The teenager -- whose name was not released -- pulled the pin after fighting with his girlfriend at about 2:30 a.m. his home on Calvert Street, police said.

The man was transported to Henry Ford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

A bomb squad went to the scene and discovered other explosives in the home, Local 4 reported. The explosives were brought to Belle Isle where authorities will detonate them, according to the station's reports.

Police said they will question others at the home to determine where the devices originated from.

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were also investigating
