TACOMA, Wash. - An 84-year-old man has a black eye, but he still has his car, after fighting off two would-be carjackers.
Ted Mazetier said he stopped Wednesday night to help two men with a disabled car when one punched him in the face and demanded his keys. Mazetier said he kicked the man in the groin and the other in the belly.
The two men fled as a passer-by stopped to help.
Police later arrested two suspects for investigation of assault.
Mazetier said he'll think twice before stopping again to help someone on the street. He'll be 85 in June.
Good for him, the more people that fight back the better in my humble opinion'Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a
delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly
promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely
possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!'

Good for him!Never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way" ~Martin Luther King, Jr

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

He just didn't have enough coffee that day or the headlines would have read differently.Do not war for peace. If you must war, war for justice. For without justice there is no peace. -me

I am glad that the octogenarian samaritan is still among the living. Now had he had a CCW permit and was carrying, the outcome for the suspects may have been different.
What gets me is that because of the actions of those with criminal intentions, there will be fewer that will stop to render assistance to those that really do and will appreciate the help.

That sucks that these days youc an't even stop to help someone out (if they really do need help) in fear of sh!t like this. I try to stop, but only in the light of day with lots of traffic. And when I get out I take my keys. Not an LEO. But hopefully soon
