CONCORD, N.H. ó On the same day that Maineís governor signed a bill approving gay marriage, New Hampshire lawmakers could send their governor a similar bill.
Both the House and Senate have passed bills legalizing gay marriage, but the details differ. The House is expected to vote Wednesday afternoon on whether to accept the Senate version, reject it or ask a committee of lawmakers to reconcile the two bills.
Maine lawmakers gave final approval to their bill Wednesday morning, and Gov. John Baldacci quickly signed it. That makes Maine the fifth state to approve gay marriage and moves New England closer to allowing it throughout the region.

New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch hasnít taken a position on the bill. He could sign it, veto it or let it become law without his signature.
