A nearly 15,000-plant marijuana garden on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property in Hopland was raided Thursday by County of Mendocino Marijuana Eradication Team (COMMET) deputies.
At around 2 p.m. COMMET deputies assisted the BLM with an illegal marijuana operation being conducted at on a secluded property in the Sheldon Creek area.
A BLM agent along with COMMET deputies located the marijuana grow and found 14,740 seedling marijuana plants being cultivated. A Hispanic male adult fled from the scene and a search was conducted. However, the subject could not be located.
A large amount of garbage was located in the creek area at the grow site. Other environmental concerns at the scene included the illegal removal of native vegetation and water diversion from natural springs and creeks.'Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a
